Hackett’s Chef Richard Lenik

Chef Richard Lenik is the man behind the food at Hackett’s Bistro, Witney.  (He also looks rather cute in his Chef’s whites….)

He’s the one responsible for the great menus we’ve been getting for the past eight months and those mouth watering dishes that you keep on coming back for!  He is married to the gorgeous Hannah and is an indispensable member of the Hackett’s Bistro team.

Apart from creating all our stunning dishes, Richard also supplies Hackett’s to Go with a variety of fresh soups to ensure that some of our Bistro range is available as take away too!  Richard is the one responsible for that succulent, juicy home made Hackett’s burger with grilled bacon, emmenthal, tomato relish in the rustic ciabatta roll and served with those perfectly golden Hackett’s fries! (He also does a mean canelloni and a sublime steak)

Between them, our manageress, Emma, and Richard have also put together a host of specials for the more pocket conscious to ensure that you can still enjoy Hackett’s good food experience no matter what the economy is up to.  Richard tends to use a lot of local suppliers and is always on the look out for organic and Fair Trade products to enhance Hackett’s Bistros menu.

We’re trying to get Richard to pop out of the kitchen from time to time but he’s a dedicated chef who believes his place is in that kitchen.  We’d like you to entice him out from time to time by asking to compliment the Chef!  (It would encourage him to create even more gastronomic delights)

Like any great chef, Richard relies on his kitchen staff for support and we’ll be introducing you to them over the next few weeks.
